Annealing

Process Annealing: Process annealing is a partial annealing process used to improve machinability, remove residual stresses, or enhance ductility in work-hardened materials. The material is heated to a temperature below the critical temperature and then cooled slowly.

Stress Relief Annealing: This type of annealing is primarily aimed at relieving internal stresses within a material without significantly altering its mechanical properties. It is often used for components that have undergone machining or welding.

Recrystallization Annealing:In materials with significant cold working or deformation, recrystallization annealing is used to restore the material's ductility and refine its grain structure. The material is heated to a temperature below its critical temperature.
